Venini - Carlo Scarpa - Chandelier (3) - Murano glass, Cast brass

An important and exceptional monumental elite lighting triptych, "Poliedri" model, conceived by the legendary architect Carlo Scarpa for the Venini glassworks in Murano. This specific set does not belong to the standard mass production, but represents a VERY RARE SPECIAL CUSTOM-COMMISSIONED PROJECT, tailored for the residence of the original owners. The lot was purchased on May 5, 1959, at the prestigious art and interior design atelier "Telaio d'Oro" in Florence. The lot includes the extraordinary and original archival documentation from the period: the paper purchase invoice from 1959 and the ORIGINAL TECHNICAL DESIGN BLUEPRINT with customized assembly measurements. This archival documentation provides absolute certification of historical provenance and authenticity, elevating the work to the status of a unique, bespoke architectural piece of top-tier museum and collector interest. The triptych consists of: 1. Custom Monumental Chandelier: a bespoke multi-tiered metal structure supporting hand-blown amber/straw-colored glass polyhedral modules. Exceptional, monumental length of 170 cm with a diameter of 59 cm. 2. Pair of Matching Wall Sconces: three-tier amber glass polyhedral wall model, length 48 cm and width 30 cm, specially crafted en pendant (as per the attached technical blueprint). Condition: All glass elements are in impeccable conservative condition and entirely free of chips, cracks, or damage. The electrical wiring is the original vintage one (to be checked and updated according to the regulations of the destination country). PICK-UP CONDITIONS (IMPORTANT): Due to extreme fragility and monumental dimensions, this lot WILL NOT BE SHIPPED via standard couriers. The lot is offered strictly as "PICK-UP IN PERSON AT THE BUYER'S EXPENSE" in the city of Lucca (Tuscany, Italy). The buyer (or a specialized, insured art transport company delegated by them) must handle the complete disassembly, collection, and handling at their own expense and risk.
