Spectacular polished slice with intense blue and gold stripes — This specimen features an extraordinary polished slice of a multicolored variety of Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye, from Australia. The mineral shows a hypnotic fusion of color bands, where the deep blue-gray tones of Hawk's Eye intersect and merge with the warm and brilliant hues of golden and reddish Tiger's Eye. This combination creates a dynamic and fascinating visual effect, enhanced by the silky luster and the characteristic chatoyance of these gems. The surface, expertly polished, reveals the mineral's complex fibrous structure, with crocidolite inclusions which, upon oxidation, have given rise to the color variations. The silken sheen moves and dances across the surface depending on the angle of observation, creating an illusion of depth and movement that makes every glance a unique experience. The freeform shape of the slice enhances its natural and organic appearance, making it a sculptural piece as well as a mineral. Mounted on a handmade wooden and brass base, the specimen assumes a striking presence, ideal for display in any environment. The minimalist base was chosen to maximize the intrinsic beauty of the mineral, allowing its coloration and structure to be the absolute protagonists. The polished brass supports the slice gently, elevating it and presenting it as a natural work of art. This piece is a magnificent example of how geology can create artworks that are intrinsically beautiful and complex. Perfect for mineral collectors who appreciate chromatic beauty and the quality of the polishing, or as a prestigious decorative element to enrich a study, a living room, or a Wunderkammer. Its combination of colors and its provenance make it a specimen of notable collector interest and a focal point of great visual impact.
