Taking on the likeness of a snake, this beautifully crafted brooch dates to the Victorian period. Crafted in 15 carat yellow gold and silver, the snake design is adorned with a collection of old cut diamonds and rubies. Down the 15 carat body, 1.35 carat of diamonds are expertly grain set. These stones match in quality at I in colour and SI in clarity. Atop of the snake head, in patinated silver. 0.25 carat total of rubies are set, contrasting against the aged silver. A final two diamonds denote the snakes eyes, bringing the piece to life. Measuring 5.5cm x 1.5cm this wonderful brooch sits on a simple pin fastening.
