VIKING SILVER RING WITH PUNCHED DECORATION

Ca. AD 700 - 900. A silver ring with a broad bezel plate tapering to an open overlapping hoop. The bezel is decorated with punched geometric ornament arranged in horizontal registers, with ring-and-dot borders, followed by triangles enclosing three dots and two bands of lozenges centred by single dots.
