Dimensions of the frame: 32 x 38 cm. BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST Victor Kallinik Gousseff began his training at the Rostov Art School, after which he entered the Higher School of Fine Arts in Moscow. Later he left Russia to settle in Paris, where he broadened his knowledge in various art schools. A few years later he left France attracted by the masters of the Spanish School, settling initially in Madrid. In the capital he attended classes at the San Fernando Academy, where his teacher was Moreno Carbonero. Later he undertook a journey through Spain, settling for a time in Barcelona. Gousseff mainly worked still life and landscape, and exhibited in Barcelona galleries such as the Circulo Ecuestre of Barcelona (1927), the Dalmau Hall (1927), the Busquets Hall (1934), the Layetanas Galleries (1936), the Domingo (1941), etc.
