Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) (after) - "Irises, 1889" - (60x80cm)

- Vincent van Gogh (after), offset print on heavyweight smooth satin paper (approx. 300gsm, refers to paper thickness/density). - Stamp on verso. - Condition: excellent. Never framed, never exposed. - Size: 60 x 80cm. - Vincent van Gogh’s "Irises" (1889) is one of the artist’s most beautiful and instantly recognisable floral compositions, where nature, colour and expressive brushwork merge into a vibrant modern image. Created during Van Gogh’s stay at Saint-Rémy, the work transforms a garden scene into a powerful rhythm of blue-purple irises, green leaves, warm yellow ground and bright floral accents. Far from a simple botanical subject, the image has an extraordinary sense of movement, energy and emotional intensity, showing Van Gogh’s unique ability to turn flowers into a living field of colour and feeling. Its bold palette and expressive surface connect naturally with Post-Impressionism, Japonisme and modern decorative painting, placing the work in dialogue with artists such as Monet, Cézanne, Gauguin, Matisse, Bonnard, Klimt, Mucha and Hockney. This work has strong appeal for admirers of Van Gogh, floral art, Post-Impressionism, garden imagery, vintage interiors, retro colour, rare decorative prints and sophisticated wall art. Its rich combination of blue irises, yellow background, green foliage and orange tones makes it especially suitable for a refined living room, boutique bedroom, creative studio, luxury apartment, country house or eclectic mid-century inspired interior. It can sit beautifully beside wood furniture, antique objects, sculpture, Murano glass, Eames chairs, Gio Ponti references, Scandinavian design, gold accents, rare ceramics or limited edition decorative pieces, creating a warm and elegant dialogue between art, nature and interior design. With its timeless floral beauty and iconic identity, "Irises" is also a perfect gift for lovers of flowers, gardens and colour. For those interested in Van Gogh, Monet, Matisse, Picasso, Klimt, Mucha, Kandinsky, Miró, Dalí, Warhol, Basquiat, Haring, Rothko, Lichtenstein, Hockney, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Jeff Koons, Kaws and Karl Lagasse, "Irises" offers a rare combination of beauty, colour, luxury and emotional power. Its floral elegance and strong decorative presence fit perfectly with today’s trend for curated interiors, where fine art prints can live naturally beside Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Lego, Star Wars, Pokémon, champagne, whisky and other icons of style, rarity and collecting. A timeless and highly decorative Van Gogh image, ideal for adding colour, warmth and artistic sophistication to any refined interior.
