VINCENZO MIGLIARO (Naples, 1858–1938) Alley Scene in Naples Oil on panel, approx. 25 × 21 cm An evocative and beautifully atmospheric Neapolitan street scene by Vincenzo Migliaro, capturing the distinctive character and intimate charm of historic Naples. Migliaro was a celebrated Neapolitan painter whose works are particularly appreciated for their lively treatment of everyday life, architecture, light, and the unmistakable atmosphere of his native city. This intimate panel offers a wonderful glimpse into the narrow streets and vibrant urban character of Naples. Provenance & Documentation Of particular interest to collectors, this painting was previously offered at Sotheby’s, as documented by the accompanying catalogue photograph. The original Sotheby’s auction catalogue featuring the painting is included with the lot, providing an important piece of documentary provenance and adding considerable interest to the offering. The work has been preserved in a private family collection. A Collectible Work of Italian Art With its intimate format and distinctly Neapolitan subject, this painting would make an appealing addition to a collection of 19th- and early 20th-century Italian art, particularly for collectors with an interest in the Neapolitan school and scenes of everyday urban life. Shipping The painting will be professionally and securely packaged and shipped by traceable courier, with every care taken to ensure its safe arrival. The frame is included as a complimentary gift and is not considered part of the artwork itself. As such, the frame is provided free of charge and no claims for damage to the frame occurring during transportation can be accepted.
