Vintage 0.70ct Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, hallmarked1978

A deep blue sapphire sits at the centre of this wonderful cluster vintage. The oval cut stone weighs 0.70 carat and is expertly claw set into 18 carat white gold. Surrounding the sapphire, a halo of round brilliant diamonds sparkle. Totalling 0.40 carat, the diamonds match in quality, with a colour of G and a clarity of VS. Split shoulders lead down from the setting work to a band crafted in contrasting 18 carat yellow gold.
