Vintage Earrings with Diamonds and Colombian Emeralds, ca. 1980

These luxurious emerald earrings are designed in the true spirit of the Belle Époque. Each features a natural emerald set in a large teardrop shape and framed by delicate brilliant-cut diamonds. A row of individually set brilliant-cut diamonds leads up to a slightly larger diamond, behind which the ear posts are located. The earrings are crafted from white gold and adorned with delicate polished edges that beautifully frame the diamonds. The exceptional quality of the emeralds in our earrings immediately catches the eye: these stones come from Colombia, which has long been the finest and most sought-after source of fine emeralds. Their origin has been confirmed by an independent appraisal. The drop earrings were created in the 1980s, as evidenced by the materials used here—namely, the high-karat white gold and the cuts of the diamonds. Crafted from luxurious materials, the dangling earrings seem to flow seductively down the wearer’s ears, swaying elegantly with every movement.
