If you ask ten people what their favorite colour is, eight of them will answer "blue." Why? Probably because blue is the colour of the sky and the sea, and because blue has a calming effect on many people. A beautiful blue sapphire is set in a wreath of brilliant cut white diamonds. The resulting ring is called an entourage ring (entourage = French for entourage, companion), a type of ring that has been worn and loved in ever-changing variations for centuries. Now here is a very special sapphire combined with sparkling diamonds. For the large stone is a naturally formed, untreated sapphire with very good clarity and an intense colour. It glows a strong blue, just the right amount, without being too dark or too bright. The fact that it is untreated, that is, its colour has not been tried to improve by human hands, makes its special quality and rarity. A special peculiarity of the stone is its internal structure. This is because when light falls on it from a very specific angle, the stone reveals a very individual pattern inside it, drawn by nature. Fine rutile inlays here follow the growth planes and appear as if by magic under the tablet, in the form of a fan or the leaves of a fern. The ring is made of high karat yellow gold, which adds a beautiful warmth to the design. A detailed certificate from the German Association for Gemstone Evaluation Idar-Oberstein is attached to the ring and describes the qualities of the materials used. In the language of jewels, the blue sapphire stands for fidelity and the diamond, as the hardest of all minerals, for eternity.
