Summer 1965: the world dances to the Beatles, wears miniskirts, and fashion and art become colorful. Even the world of jewellery - like this ring. High-carat gold, as warm as a summer's day in Nice, nestles against the hand and is made for a good mood. In the center sits a large, bright yellow sapphire from Ceylon, oval cut, about 4.40 carats of pure sunshine. This stone is untreated, neither heated nor colored. It sparkles without any human intervention, just as nature created it. Such "no-heat" sapphires are real rarities, a bit like a croissant that doesn't crumble. Hard to find, but indescribable when you have one. This golden treasure is framed by 16 pink sapphires, also natural, in a round star cut, which sparkle like little sweets in grain settings, a play of colors between sunlight and raspberry dreams. On the outside of the band, the ring bears a French import mark in the shape of an owl, an indication that the ring, which we discovered on the Côte d'Azur, was not made in France. However, it has captured the sun of southern France: a piece of sunshine for the finger.
