Vitra Fauteuil de Salon by Jean Prouvé

Introducing the Fauteuil de Salon by Vitra, designed by Jean Prouvé. This armchair is a significant example of Prouvé’s structural design philosophy, which focused on the honest expression of technical requirements through aesthetic form. The chair features a robust frame of tubular steel that provides exceptional stability and a sleek, industrial profile. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a textured fabric that offers a tactile contrast to the metal structure, while the solid wood armrests provide a warm, natural element that enhances the overall comfort of the piece. Constructed from high quality materials, the Fauteuil de Salon was originally designed in 1939 and remains a timeless addition to any interior, blending the functionality of an office chair with the relaxed lounge quality of a residential armchair. This iconic Vitra seating solution is available now at Rehaus. Condition Notes: This item is in very good condition, with the boucle fabric appearing perfect and showing no visible marks or signs of wear. The textured upholstery has been exceptionally well-maintained to preserve its original tactile quality and aesthetic appeal, ensuring the piece remains in a state that is structurally sound.
