GENERAL: 1990 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet with approximately 180,000 km. It presents a very special and unique configuration, featuring a large number of fully homologated modifications. Based on the iconic first generation (Mk1) of the Golf Cabriolet originally designed by Karmann, this model kept the Mk1 chassis and silhouette until 1993, long after the production of the closed Mk1 Golf had ended. It stands out for incorporating the coveted 16-valve engine from the third generation (Mk3 GTI 16v), combining the lightness and classic convertible design with the reliability and higher performance of Volkswagen engines from the 1990s. BODY AND PAINT: Unit in generally good condition. It shows some details visible in the photo gallery. The power-operated convertible top is in very good condition and without tears. MECHANICS: The vehicle features an engine from a Golf GTI 16v Mk3 mated to a Golf Mk3 16v manual transmission. Equipped with BBS wheels, Eibach springs, Koni shocks, 266 mm front brake discs from a Golf Mk2 GTI 16v and rear discs of 225 mm also from a Golf Mk2 GTI 16v. The engine runs fantastically, the gearbox shifts perfectly and all electronic components (lights, wipers, etc.) work correctly. The underbody is in good condition, free of rust or damage. INTERIOR: Beautiful combination in very good preservation. The interior seats are well maintained, with no tears or rips, and the carpeting is very well cared for. DOCUMENTATION: Spanish license plate and valid ITV (vehicle inspection). PICK-UP: The car is available in Pineda de Mar, Spain. OTHER INFORMATION: Includes up-to-date mechanical service and full professional cleaning.
