Vono Company - Table - Folding bridge or poker table - Mahogany

This piece of furniture is a folding card table (also known as a bridge or gaming table), characterized by a dark-toned wooden structure (often mahogany or beech) and a tabletop covered with green cloth or felt. The legs of this type of rectangular table can be folded under the tabletop, so they can be stored extremely flat and space-saving when not in use. They are primarily used for card games (bridge, poker), board games or even puzzle games, as the felt covering prevents the cards from slipping and makes them easier to lift. Based on their design, these pieces typically date back to the mid-20th century (vintage/retro style), but are still popular in clubs and homes today. There is a sticker on the bottom of the table indicating the manufacturer. Vono This label is the logo of the long-established British furniture and mattress manufacturer Vono Company, originally founded in Tipton, England in 1896. The company initially specialized in bed frames and metal beds, before growing into a recognized international brand in the mid-20th century. Based on the design in the image, the following details about the furniture can be learned: • Period: This particular paper style dates back to the Mid-Century Modern period (approximately the 1950s to 1970s), when the company also produced popular living room furniture, armchairs, sofas, and bed frames in addition to mattresses. • Crafting: The quality hardwood surface (often mahogany or teak) and distinctive typography indicate pieces made in the United Kingdom or Scandinavian-style retro furniture manufactured under British license (for example, by B.L. Hart in New Zealand). • Collector's value: Vono's period design pieces – especially the iconic swivel armchairs (such as the "Vono Egg Chair") and minimalist living room furniture – are now sought-after collector's items among retro and vintage style enthusiasts. Folded 76 x 76 x 4-5 cm. It is in very good condition, with minor signs of use. The legs don't need to be snapped in any special way, just pull them out and they snap into place. We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
