W. Reynard (XX) - Floral still life

Beautiful 20th century European School floral still life, depicting an abundant and colourful bouquet arranged in a rounded, warm-toned vase. The composition is characterized by a rich variety of flowers in red, white, blue, yellow, pink and cream, surrounded by lush green foliage. The flowers are painted with expressive brushwork, giving the work a lively, painterly character. The neutral, softly graduated background creates a strong contrast with the colourful bouquet, while fallen petals on the tabletop add depth and naturalism to the composition. The work is signed in red in the lower right, appearing to read “W. Reynard”. The signature has not been independently attributed and is therefore offered as observed. The painting is presented in an ornate antique-style gilded frame, which complements the traditional European character of the work. Details • Artist: signed “W.
