Walking stick - Wood, Metal

Elegant antique walking cane (dandy or classic gentleman style) with a mushroom-shaped handle in 0.915 silver. This antique walking cane dates chronologically to the mid-20th century (roughly between 1930 and 1950). It is a piece of Spanish silversmithing. It features a silver handle of 0.915 fineness. The contrast of the image, consisting of a five-pointed star inside an oval, corresponds to the official Spanish hallmark to certify first-grade silver (purity of 915 thousandths). Right next to the oval appears a second hallmark in the shape of a hexagon. This contains the initials or the manufacturer’s code that guarantees the artisanal authorship of the piece. The shaft is made of polisandro, streaked with light and brown tones. Dimensions Total: 883 cm (with handle) Mango dimensions: 4.2 x 4.5 cm Bastón weight: 320 g MATERIAL: Wood and 915 Silver CONDITION: Very good condition – barely used. ESTIMATED PERIOD: 1930-1950
