Wall lamp - Wood - scissor-arm lamp

Scandinavian scissor-arm wall lamp – wood – Denmark – 1960s/1970s Beautiful vintage scissor-arm wall lamp from Scandinavia, likely manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s–1970s. The lamp is characterized by the elegant extendable accordion or scissor construction in wood, an iconic design that was widely used within Scandinavian modernism. Thanks to the adjustable arm, the light source can be easily placed closer to or farther from the wall, making the lamp functional as well as decorative. The warm wooden frame gives the lamp an authentic mid-century look that fits well within Scandinavian, vintage and modernist interiors. It bears a strong resemblance to models from Translandia. The pleated shade is present on the lamp, but appears to be from a later date and is probably not original to the fixture. The wooden construction is in good vintage condition with signs of wear appropriate to its age and use. The lamp does not work currently; it will need a new fitting.
