Walnut bargueña table with ladder and candlestick leg. Spanish School.

Descriptio Carved walnut wood with fittings. Dimensions: 84 x 109 x 37 cm. 17th-century Spanish bargueña table, recognizable by its candle-shaped leg structure and ladder-shaped side crossbars. The solidity of the turned legs and the assembly of the jambs provide stability and understated elegance. The rectangular tabletop is in keeping with the formal austerity characteristic of Castilian Baroque furniture. The combination of functionality and balance in the volumes makes this piece a representative example of 17th-century Spanish convent and domestic furniture. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
