Walt Disney – Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing - The Whoopee Party (1932)

The Whoopee Party (Walt Disney, 1932) Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing This original animation drawing has party host Mickey slicing up a ham to music, as if he was playing the ham like a violin! Premiered over 90 years ago, The Whoopee Party was directed by Wilfred Jackson and followed a fun-filled, crazy party Mickey and Minnie hosted with their friends. Mickey, Goofy (aka Dippy Dawg), and Horace Horsecollar are tasked with preparing refreshments for everyone as Mickey readies the meat for the sandwiches. Playing the violin ham, this image of Mickey can be found near the 1:31 timestamp of the short and is numbered frame 67 of its sequence in the bottom right corner with the note (F 27 A) above it. Rendered with graphite and colored pencil, Mickey with his ham and knife on a sheet of 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. This vintage piece of production artwork shows light production handling wear, peghole supports, light stray marks including a partially sketched ham slice, edge wear, and light age-related toning. In Very Good condition.
