Small twin-handled silver cup, presumably 900/1000 silver, with the inscription "Marine’s Whale / H.M.S. Titania / China / 1923", referring to HMS Titania, a Royal Navy shipyard and support vessel for submarines, active in those years in China (China Station). 1923 falls in the period when the vessel operated in the Far East and particularly Hong Kong, where the crew participated in sporting activities and local competitions (source: Wikipedia). The hallmark on the base (WH 90) confirms its production in Hong Kong, as it refers to the manufacturer Wang Hing & Company (宏興), silversmiths active in Canton and Hong Kong between the 19th and 20th centuries. The cup shows some age-related marks as can be seen in the photos, but overall condition is good. Dimensions are about 6.9 x 8.5 x 4.6 cm and weight about 69 grams.
