Warring States Period to Han Dynasty Cold-painted...

Warring States Period to Han Dynasty Cold-painted earthenware Cocoon Flask — c. 3rd century BCE – 2nd century CE Cold-painted earthenware vessel with a globular body, short neck, flared rim and circular foot. The surface features brown and dark tones, with lines, curves and geometric motifs in light and reddish colours. The photographed purchase invoice from Veilinghuis Van Spengen identifies lot 1156 as “terracotta kruik, Neolitische periode” —terracotta vessel, Neolithic period—. The payment receipt is dated 6 January 2012. Approximate weight: 2.8 kg. It shows surface wear, partial loss of decoration, abrasions, small irregularities and visible hairline cracks. The photographs do not allow the extent of any restoration to be determined. The condition of the piece can be seen in the images. The photographs form an integral part of the description. The invoice is fully legible, but the buyer’s personal details have been redacted in the image to protect their privacy. The corresponding invoice will be provided in excellent condition. The lot will be packaged with great care. Registered and insured shipping worldwide. Please keep an eye on your delivery at all times via the Track & Trace information on the shipping company's page.
