Waxahachie, Texas. $20 1929 Ty. 2. Fr. 1802-2. Citizens NB. Charter

Waxahachie, Texas. $20 1929 Ty. 2. Fr. 1802-2. Citizens NB. Charter #13516. PCGS Banknote Choice Uncirculated 64 PPQ. Serial Number 2. Saved as a souvenir during the 1930s based on both the serial number and grade assigned, this T2 $20 issued by the Citizens National Bank in Waxahachie (Charter# 13516) stands as a veritable paragon among the 130 non-institutional notes recorded here by the National Bank Note Census. Here bidders are made privy to luscious originality and color exemplified by overprinted browns and engraved neutral tones that seemingly emphasize the overprinted serial number which reads "A000002." Further held against the fact that this exact note has earned an assigned grade of Choice Uncirculated 64 PPQ from PCGS Banknote, it stands to reason that bidders have much to consider for themselves should they seek to build a remarkable collection of Texas Nationals. Estimate: $800 - $1,200. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimate:£358.81
