This Wedgwood bone china plate features a hand-painted mid-century modern landscape scene executed on a textured deep burgundy ground. The central composition depicts two stylized long-necked birds, resembling cranes or flamingos, standing beside a slender tree with leafy branches. To the right of the tree are three abstract, vertical white forms suggesting monoliths or rock formations. The foreground consists of stylized white mounds accented with gold-line hatching and patterns. The entire scene is rendered with fine white and gold-toned enamel lines in a graphic, illustrative style. The reverse of the plate bears a green printed maker mark with a crest above the text WEDGWOOD BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND. It is also hand-signed in dark enamel Edith M. Lord. 1957. A small silver circular label for the RUBIN COLLECTION is present on the base. Dimensions: 1.00"H x 10.25" dia. Dimensions: 1.00"H x 10.25" dia.
