West New York, New Jersey. $10 1902 Plain Back. Fr. 634. First NB. Charter #12064. PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ. Arguably one of the best names on New Jersey that can also be found on a National Bank Note, West New York has always been an object of interest in the eyes of those who collect. Served by the First National Bank (Charter# 12064) which fell to receivership in 1934 and the National Bank (Charter# 14305) which succeeded the aforementioned bank, West New York is represented by 49 notes in the National Bank Note Census including this moderately circulated and highly original $10 Plain Back issued during the 1920s. Here signatures attributable to Cashier H.F. Deyerberg and President Daniel Patrick Curry may be noticed and lend an important counterpoint to the grade assigned that's all but guaranteed to appeal to bidders. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.
