This 12-inch vinyl LP is an archival reconstruction of the 1928 Ziegfeld production of Whoopee, released in 1978 as part of the Smithsonian American Musical Theater Series. The album was produced by the Smithsonian Institution in association with RCA Special Products. It features original cast members and performers including Eddie Cantor, Ruth Etting, and George Olsen and his Music. The music and lyrics are credited to Gus Kahn, Walter Donaldson, and others. The front cover features a minimalist black and white design with a silhouette of a cowboy on a bucking horse and stylized script. The back cover includes detailed liner notes by Martin Williams and a complete track listing. The disc features black labels with white and gold print, bearing catalog numbers R 012 and DPM1 0349. Diameter: 12 inches. Domestic shipping within the U.S. is $12 for a single album. International shipping is also available. Shipping discounts will be applied when multiple records are purchased.
