WMF / Geislingen - Candlestick - Silverplated - WMF Candlestick

An iconic, elegantly designed three-arm candlestick from the renowned German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), designed in the 1960s. Attributed to Kurt Radtke. This object is a stunning example of postwar modernism (Mid-Century Modern). The design is strongly influenced by the tight, minimalist design tradition of Bauhaus. The flowing, organic W-shape is completely stripped of superfluous ornaments and focuses purely on the geometric purity of the construction. The candlestick is made of high-quality metal and features a thick, mirrored silver coating. At the underside of the stable, rectangular base is the original and clear WMF factory stamp (the well-known arch/house mark). A timeless design icon that grabs attention in any modern or vintage interior. • Height: approx. 17 cm • Width: approx. 28 cm • Length/Depth: approx. 7 cm Condition: The exterior is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of aging and a beautiful shine.
