WMF / Geislingen - Jardinière - Silverplated - Jardiniere with couple

A large and exceptional silver plated jardiniere with embracing couple surrounded by foliage and a large pair of whiplash handles. The epitome of WMF jugendstil at its very best. Reference: Featured in the WMF 1906 catalog ( See the last two images) Marked with ostrich in lozenge above WMF B for Britannia metal, OX I/O to the underside Tentative date ca. 1900 Measuring an impressive 52 cm in length and weighing 2082g Condition - Glass liner missing. The jardiniere overall good with a possible small oiece missing to the center of the backside rim. The soldering in each end gone slightly apart.
