WORK: "COMPOSITION" by Joan MIRO (1893–1983) Etching enhanced with watercolor on Arches paper, framed under glass, signed in pencil in the center and marked "studio study" in pencil. Dedicated in the center “For Michel” in pencil and on the reverse “To Michel Tapié, my fellow traveler” in pencil. Provenance: Private Collection. Dimensions: approx. 37 x 36 cm. Good condition Michel Tapié (1909–1987) was a renowned French art critic, theorist, and curator, and a leading figure in Informel art. He wrote and published major art books devoted to the Catalan painter, notably the reference work *Joan Miró: Works 1916–1968*, published in the early 1970s by Hachette-Fabbri. As a champion of the avant-garde and contemporary art of his time, he extensively commented on, analyzed, and highlighted Miró’s artistic and graphic work.
