WWII reissued Distinguished Flying Cross (1943, plus R to reverse), 1939-45, Atlantic (with Air Crew Europe bar), Africa, Burma Stars, Defence Medal and BWM (with oak leaf) attributed to A/Wng Cdr Raymond Colin Oswald Lovelock, extremely fine, court mounted as worn, includes original and copied documents, including recommendation for honour and awards, photographs, LG etc. Lovelock was awarded the DFC during his service in 461 squadron (R.A.A.F.) with 100 sorties, flying 2300 hours. 'Both as commanding officer, and as captain of aircraft, this officer has set an outstanding example to the members of his squadron. Throughout his long operational career he has distinguished himself by his skill and coolness. In spite of all difficulties, he has maintained a very high standard of work.', Lovelock had also completed a tour of duty in 204 Squadron before being posted as flight commander in the newly formed 461 Squadron.
