Wxyz (1980) - Sculpture, "322-1" - 184.5 mm - Concrete - 2026

WXYZ (1980) – “322-1” (2026) – Unique Original Sculpture Within a Sculpture – Transparent Resin (1/1) Original Resin Sculpture – Unique Piece (1/1) 100% Handcrafted – Entirely Created and Produced by the Artist An exceptional original sculpture in transparent resin, containing a second sculpture entirely handcrafted, cut, shaped and hand-painted by French street artist WXYZ. This unique artwork (1/1) stands out for its remarkable concept: a sculpture within a sculpture. At its heart lies an original three-dimensional artwork, meticulously created by the artist before being permanently encapsulated within transparent resin. The inner sculpture features a vibrant geometric composition of colorful pixels, combining electric blues, fluorescent yellows, vivid pinks, greens, oranges and deep blacks. The translucent outer structure reveals the artwork suspended within, creating a fascinating interplay of transparency, depth, light and color. Two sculptural dimensions. One extraordinary artwork. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FROM GRAFFITI TO SCULPTURE The “322-1” is an emblematic figure in WXYZ's artistic universe, born from his transition from graffiti to three-dimensional art. Its name refers directly to Article 322-1 of the French Penal Code, concerning damage to property — a reference to the artist's roots in graffiti culture. Through this iconic character, WXYZ transforms the visual language of the street into a tangible contemporary artwork, combining pixel art, geometric abstraction and contemporary sculpture. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ AN EXCEPTIONAL SCULPTURE WITHIN A SCULPTURE What makes this artwork truly exceptional is its extraordinarily demanding, entirely artisanal creation process, requiring dozens upon dozens of hours of meticulous work. Before the resin casting, WXYZ personally designed, shaped and cut every element of the inner sculpture entirely by hand, before carefully painting it with acrylics. Once completed, this original handmade sculpture was positioned inside a mould that was also entirely created by the artist himself, using silicone. The transparent resin was then poured entirely by hand, in successive layers of just 5 mm, requiring exceptional patience, precision and careful control throughout the casting process. This painstaking technique allows the inner sculpture to become permanently encapsulated within the transparent structure, creating a remarkable impression of depth and suspension. Nothing is industrially manufactured. Nothing is outsourced. Every single stage is personally executed by WXYZ. From the original design and handmade silicone mould to the cutting, acrylic painting, successive resin castings and final finishing, the entire artwork is the result of the artist's own craftsmanship. WXYZ's sculptural creations frequently require approximately 50 to 60 hours of meticulous manual work, reflecting an exceptional level of dedication, technical expertise and artistic commitment. Far beyond a decorative object, this piece represents an ambitious exploration of materials, transparency and three-dimensional artistic expression. A truly unique original artwork (1/1), entirely conceived and handcrafted by the artist. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ARTWORK DETAILS Artist: WXYZ (1980) Title: 322-1 Year: 2026 Material: Transparent resin with an original handcrafted sculpture encapsulated inside Technique: Handmade silicone mould, successive 5 mm resin castings, hand-cut sculptural inclusion and hand-painted acrylic details Production: 100% artisanal – entirely designed, fabricated, cast, painted and finished by the artist Craftsmanship: Dozens of hours of meticulous manual work; the artist's sculptures frequently require 50–60 hours of production Finish: Translucent resin with multicolored sculptural inclusion Edition: Unique original artwork (1/1) Authenticity: Certificate of Authenticity included ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PACKAGING & SHIPPING The sculpture comes with its original presentation box and a certificate of authenticity.
