Step back into the golden age of 90s dance music with the Yamaha CS1x, the legendary blue synth that became a favourite in studios and clubs across the world. Released in 1996, it was Yamaha's answer to the techno, trance and house explosion. It combines the character of classic analog synthesizers with the convenience and reliability of digital technology. Artists such as Underworld and Jamiroquai are known to have used it. What makes the CS1x special is how hands-on it is. Turn a knob and the sound changes instantly, which makes it great fun to play live and very inspiring in the studio. The two Scene memories let you store two versions of a sound and morph smoothly between them with the modulation wheel. This is a signature trick of this synth. • Punchy, characterful sounds: fat basses, lush pads, sharp leads, classic dance stabs and great drum kits • Real-time control knobs: Cutoff, Resonance, Attack, Release and two assignable knobs • Two Scene memories with smooth morphing • Built-in arpeggiator with 30 types, instant grooves and sequences • Reverb, chorus and variation effects on board • 32-note polyphony, AWM2 tone generation • 128 preset and 128 user performances • XG / General MIDI compatible, so it also works as a complete sound module • 61-key velocity-sensitive keyboard, pitch and modulation wheels • Connections: stereo outputs, headphones, foot controller, foot volume, foot switch, To Host (direct computer connection) and MIDI In / Out / Thru Condition This CS1x is in very good condition. The iconic blue panel is clean, the keys are even and bright, and all knobs are present and turn smoothly. There are only light signs of use, and small velcro pads are attached on the rear corners. Fully tested and working perfectly. All keys, knobs, buttons, the wheels, the display, the arpeggiator, the effects and the outputs function exactly as they should. It is ready to plug in and play.
