The composition is structured with a foreground framing centered on the profile of the figure, who remains with eyes closed in a state of contemplative peace as small bubbles rise around her. The mastery of the oil technique is evident in the virtuosic rendering of light, where sunbeams pierce the water’s surface and project intricate caustic patterns and golden glints onto the model’s skin and shoulders. The rich color palette, dominated by gradations of turquoise blue, cyan, and ultramarine in contrast to the warm reflections of natural light and the sea silhouettes in the background, adds volume, optical dynamism, and an enveloping atmosphere of weightlessness, serenity, and elegance.
