Here is a selection of red and white wines from the renowned Yves Cuilleron winery, located in the Rhône Valley in France. 1) Cornas Le Village 2023 Cornas - Le Village by Yves Cuilleron stands out with its bright red color. The nose is fresh with ripe red fruit and spices. The palate reflects the nose well and expresses itself with delicious, balanced fruit notes and ripe, spicy tannins. Made from 100% Syrah, this cuvée comes from three iconic Cornas vineyards: “Les Côtes,” “Reynard,” and “Cayret.” A Cornas that expresses the youthfulness of its fruit, but which can be kept for 8 years or more. Food and wine pairings: Enjoy with a powerful meat such as duck breast cooked rare. 2) Ripa Sinistra 2024 The Ripa Sinistra stands out for its purple color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe black fruits and spicy, bacon notes. The delicate, silky palate is underscored by a beautiful minerality. Made from 100% Syrah grapes, this cuvée comes from the hillsides of Seyssuel, on the left bank north of Vienne, a very old Roman vineyard that disappeared at the end of the 19th century and was replanted in 1996; it is aged for eighteen months in barrels. A wine to drink after 3-4 years, with the potential to be kept for up to 10 years. Food and wine pairings: Enjoy with tender but powerful meat such as duck breast. 3) Condrieu Les Chaillets 2024 This wine has a bright, pale yellow color. The nose is characterized by elegant aromas of flowers, fruit, and sweet spices. The palate is rich and complex, showcasing the finesse of Viognier. Beautiful minerality gives this wine great depth. Made from 100% Viognier, this blend of plots located in the north of the appellation, on biotite granite soils, is aged for nine months in barrels and casks. An excellent Condrieu for aging, to be kept for 8 years or more. Food and wine pairings: Enjoy with veal sweetbreads with morel mushrooms. 4) Saint-Joseph Lieu-dit Digue 2024 This Saint-Joseph Lieu-Dit Digue stands out with its pure, golden color. The intense, complex nose reveals white flowers, citrus fruits, and hints of honey. The palate is distinctive and balanced with lovely roundness, supported by the minerality of the terroir on the finish. Made from 100% Roussanne grapes, this single vineyard cuvée from the “Digue” locality in the north of the appellation is aged for nine months in barrels and casks and has a pure, golden color. A wine for aging, to be drunk between 6 and 10 years. Food and wine pairings: Enjoy with lobster ravioli in saffron sauce. 5) Viognier Les Vignes d'à Côté 2025 The Viognier Les Vignes d'à Côté stands out for its bright golden color. The nose is typical of Viognier, with notes of ripe yellow fruit and violet. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a touch of acidity prolonging the aroma. Made from 100% Viognier, this wine is a blend of parcels located in the “Collines Rhodaniennes” PGI area and is aged for eight months, divided equally between barrels, casks, and vats. Food and wine pairings: This wine is best enjoyed young, as an aperitif or with grilled prawns. 6) Marsanne Les Vignes d'à Côté 2024 Yves Cuilleron's Marsanne stands out for its clear, limpid color. The nose is reminiscent of a bouquet of white flowers with citrus notes. The palate is mineral and rich, with a bitter finish that lingers. Made from 100% Marsanne grapes, this wine is produced from a blend of plots located in the “Collines Rhodaniennes” PGI area and is aged for eight months, divided equally between barrels, casks, and vats.
