Grande-Vallée, Québec. C. 1980. Coté gives this loon a particularly elegant profile, its elongated bill, rounded breast and swept-back wings creating a strong, streamlined silhouette. Subtle passages of olive, ochre, and grey green describe the plumage, contrasting with the glossy black head and carefully articulated throat markings. Carved, "YC", on reverse base.
