The SL 706 holds a special place in camera history. It is the very first and the very last SLR camera with an M42 screw mount produced by West German Zeiss Ikon, just before they definitively discontinued their camera production. This makes the model a relatively rare and sought-after collector's item. This particular unit comes from a former Zeiss collection. The camera is in neat cosmetic condition with normal, light signs of age and use (see the photos for an accurate impression of the exterior state). The camera comes directly from a collector's display case and has not been tested.
