ZELDZAAM - SSS Japan - Farm Tractor with Cargo Trailer...

Vintage Friction Tractor with Cargo Trailer from SSS (Three S Quality Toys) – Made in Japan, ca. 1950s. Beautiful complete set consisting of an orange/red farm tractor and the accompanying cargo trailer, both made in lithographed tinplate with rubber tires. The tractor features a white plastic steering wheel, red wheels, and a working friction mechanism. On the side it is marked “FARM TRACTOR”. The trailer is marked with “CARGO TRAILER - MADE IN JAPAN”. Includes the original green cardboard box with a colorful litho reading “TRACTOR WITH CARGO TRAILER - FRICTION TOYS” with the SSS Quality Toys logo. The box shows the tractor with the farmer. This toy is a classic example of Japanese tin toys from the 1950s, produced by Shioji / SSS International, at the time a major exporter of tin friction toys. Very good vintage condition. Rarity: The Farm Tractor version is considerably rarer than the regular SSS trucks. Complete with the original Cargo Trailer and litho box, this set is offered only very seldom. A must-have for collectors of agricultural miniatures, SSS / Shioji, and vintage friction toys from Japan.
