Zarina Bhimji

Turner-Prize-nominated Bhimji is a filmmaker and photographer best known for her documentary work in Africa. Being of Ugandan Asian origin herself, her most famous works are her 2007 photographs and film depicting the plight of Asians in Uganda under Idi Amin. In 2012 the Whitechapel Gallery, London, hosted the first major retrospective exhibition of her work.
