Eugène Feuillatre (1870-1916) France

Eugène Feuillâtre was a French goldsmith and jeweller. He is well known for his Art Nouveau style jewellery and vases. Feuillâtre was famous for his technical finesse and was the most successful practitioner of the difficult enamelling method "plique-à-jour" of his time.
Feuillâtre was a specialist in enamel work on silver and platinum. Nature and animal themes are characteristic of his work, especially water, flowers and dragonflies. His vase Ophelia was exhibited at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900, and was very well received and even brought him a gold medal.
