Jeff Wall (1946-) Canada

Jeff Wall is a Canadian photographer. He studied at the University of British Columbia, where he later taught. Wall’s pictures are often choreographed and carefully composed, inspired by both popular culture and traditional paintings, and known for their large format. Recurring themes include social and political conflict. Jeff Wall won the 2002 Hasselblad Award and his work has been exhibited at the Tate Modern in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
