Timo Sarpaneva was a sculptor and designer from Finland. He is mostly known for his glass design but also worked in metal, wood, porcelain and textiles. Today he is seen upon as Finlands most influential artist of the 20th century. His work is characterized by being full of artistic and aesthetic expression but with strong functional use. Good examples of this are the popular ”Festivo” candlesticks, ”Rosenlew” pot, and ”Kekkerit” glass ware.
