A fine late Renaissance gold ring set with a rectangular table-cut garnet of rich wine-red colour, the stone mounted within a raised quatrefoil bezel, the shoulders elaborately modelled with scrolling foliate decoration, 3.7 grams, Western Europe, circa 1570–1600, presented in a modern jeweller’s box marked Peter Szuhay, Grays Antique Market, London Accompanied by an antique fitted jeweller’s box bearing the name “Peter Szuhay, Grays Antique Market, London.” Gold; set with a table-cut garnet. Western Europe, circa 1570–1600.
