Bronze Celtiberian buckle with a hinged pin – 4th–1st century BCE Material: Cast bronze. Auction description: Magnificent bronze ring-buckle of Celtiberian tradition, characterized by its robust construction and an interesting closure system formed by a thick hinged pin. The piece features a perfectly circular hoop of rounded section, on which rests a solid movable tang, elegantly curved and finished at an expanded end. On the opposite side it retains an articulated fastening piece, forming a set of notable technical and functional interest. Its design stands out for the simplicity of its lines, the solidity of the casting, and the ingenious hinge system, characteristic of the functional metalwork of Antiquity. The piece displays a beautiful archaeological patina in olive green, dark brown, and gray tones, with mineral deposits and a surface with an attractive ancient appearance. Condition: Very good, with a complete circular hoop, hinged pin, and fastening elements preserved. Attractive patina and signs of superficial wear.
