Canadian. A Mi'kmaq quill-decorated rectangular box with a strong design on the top and three ochre triangles above and below an ochre diamond at the centre, all on a white and faded purple quill background. The box sides have vertical columns of angled quills in multiple colours and spruce root accents. Constructed in birchbark with a pegged pine bottom. Mid 19th century.
