Royal Worcester

Having been founded in Worcester, England in 1751, Royal Worcester today is considered by some to be the oldest active English porcelain brand. The company underwent many shifts in control during the 18th and 19th centuries, having been purchased by salesman Thomas Flight some 30 years after its founding. This initiated a number of partnerships between the Barr and Flight families; during this period of collaboration between the two families, the company received numerous royal warrants. Over its extensive history, Royal Worcester has produced a number of notable patterns and designs. Popular collections include the simplistic but timeless 'Serendipity' range, as well as the 'Evesham Gold' pattern, depicting autumnal fruits with an elegant gold finish. Royal Worcester continues to produce tableware today, in addition to cutlery, textiles, glassware, candles and home fragrances.
