Beauty and functionality should never be mutually exclusive. Here are three design pieces in the spotlight this month at Italian online market place intOndo:
Edmondo Palutari and Vittorio Dassi, Self-supporting bookcase in teak, 1950s

This large bookcase is made up of three self-supporting modules that can be easily rearranged throughout a home. It is equipped with six shelves, two cabinets with doors, and a writing desk with two drawers. Made in the 1950s in veneered teak wood and finished with brass details, the bookcase was the design of Vittorio Dassi in collaboration with Edmondo Palutari, one of the main interior designers of Dassi Mobili Moderni.
Svend Åge Madsen for Sigurd Hansen, Danish 'SH 180' Desk, 1960s

A perfect example of Scandinavian design, this teak desk conceals a bookcase in the back and various drawers and compartments jn the front.
Paul Michael, Cocktail Table, 1980s

This black lacquered wooden coffee table is equipped with a convertible top that, when closed, has a rectangular shape and when open has a square shape that reveals a mirrored bottle container in the centre. It was designed by Paul Michel in the 1980s.
