Up until 22 November, Blomqvist, Norway's oldest and leading auction house, and the art forum Kunstveggen are hosting an Urban Art auction. It is the largest auction dedicated to street art in Norway and one of the largest auctions in the Nordic region. The catalogue presents 162 lots and offers a large variety of works of art, artists and price ranges.
Star Wars VIII, Dolk, 2014

Andreas Hamran Færø, better known under the pseudonym Dolk (which means 'dagger' in Norwegian), is represented by nine works and among the highlights is Star Wars VIII from 2004. It is made with stencil in spray paint and measures 66 x 100 centimetres. Dolk is one of Norway's greatest artists in street art and is often called the Norwegian Banksy. His motifs often consist of pop culture references that are placed in a humorous and political context.
Lofoten, Pøbel, 2012

Like Dagger, Pøbel is a pseudonym for a Norwegian artist. Pøbel first became known in Norway in the mid-2000s because he painted on abandoned buildings on Lofoten in northern Norway and introduced street art to the countryside. The auction includes ten works by him, such as this brown version of the serigraph Lofoten from 2012.
Sale Ends (v.2), Banksy, 2017

It was Banksy's stay in Bergen, Norway in the early 2000s that started a movement of Norwegian street art. During his stay in the fjord town, Banksy left behind thirteen works of art. Now, twenty years later, he is featured in Norway's oldest auction house. Serigraph Sale Ends (v.2), numbered 355/500, is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Pest Control.
