Every year, Art Paris offers the public a wide range of European art from post-war to the present whilst also welcoming emerging global talents.
More than 139 exhibitors from 29 countries will participate in the 19th edition of Art Paris Art Fair, with more than 1 550 artists be represented during this Parisian art week.

This year, Africa takes the spotlight with around twenty galleries from the continent spread across the various sectors of the fair. Whether established on the African continent or in Europe, these galleries are the mouthpieces of an emerging and talented generation.

To celebrate this edition of Art Paris Art Fair, Barnebys will be supporting the Solo Show project, which has been promoting personal exhibitions since 2015 throughout the fair. In total, no fewer than 24 monographic exhibitions will be presented in the aisles of the fair.
Artists from Africa being celebrated include Serge Attukwei Clottey (GNYP), Hicham Benohoud (Loft Art Gallery), Marion Boehm (ARTCO Gallery), Kendell Geers (DNA Galeria), Mario Macilau (Ed Cross Fine Art ), Mohau Modisakeng (WHATIFTHEWORLD) and Billie Zangewa (AFRONOVA GALLERY).

These exhibitions are a way for the general public to discover in depth the work of modern, contemporary and emerging artists.
Our favourite this year? The solo show dedicated to the works of Moroccan artist Najia Mehadji, represented by Claude Lemand.

Inspired by the Eastern and Maghreb mystical confraternities and the recent migratory movements from Africa to the North, the compositions of this Franco-Moroccan artist are a must-see.
The Solo Show takes Art Paris Art Fair beyond the realms of any other fair.

From 25th March to 3rd April, 2017, Bus Expo will be presenting a traveling exhibition in partnership with Le Bus Direct Paris Airport, featuring the work of five artists selected from the 2017 Solo Show: Eduardo Arroyo from Galeria Alvaro Alcazar (Madrid), Serge Attukwei Clottey of GNYP (Berlin), Mario Macilau of Ed Cross Fine Art (London), Edouard Wolton of Les Filles du Calvaire Gallery (Paris), Billie Zangewa of AFRONOVA GALLERY (Johannesburg).

The Solo Show exhibitions will be visible throughout Art Paris Art Fair from 30th March to 2nd April 2017. The vernissage (by invitation) will take place on 29th Wednesday March from 6 pm to 10 pm. Visit www.artparis.com for more information.
