French auction house Artcurial is gearing up for quite the sale, namely, ‘Automobiles sur Les Champs’. Now in its 14th edition, over 70 vehicles are being brought together for the sale on 4 November.
Over the course of the weekend of 3-4 November, as part of this sale, Les Champs Élysées in Paris, arguably the most beautiful avenue in the world, is going to be transformed into a backdrop for cars from a different era, attracting crowds and inspiring dreams. The auction itself will be held in Artcurial's Paris parking lot on the fourth.

One noteworthy highlight is this 1937 BMW 328 roadster. It was sold new in Düsseldorf in July 1937. Offered with full history recorded in extensive period documentation, the car raced in Germany during the 1950s.
It is still equipped with its original, matching numbers body, and the car is fresh from a full, high quality restoration.

This Mercedes 300 SL had a rather interesting beginning, originally belonging in the hands of royalty. Specifically, its first owner was HRH Moulay Hassan, Crown Prince who became the King Hassan II of Morocco in 1961.
As confirmed by 300 SL specialist Eric Lemoine, the vehicle is one of the first 30 produced roasters. It is therefore one of the oldest examples of its production. Additionally, since 1973, this stunning 300 SL has not changed hands and it is presented in an exceptional state of preservation. It is to be sold accompanied by original documentation.

This 1939 BMW 327/28 Cabriolet was delivered new on 14 January 1939 to a Mr. Artur Bovenkamp from Wuppertal, Germany, according to the certificate issued in 2016 by BMW Classic, signed by Fred Jakobs and Robert Groh.
It is a beautiful example of a rare model (482 examples produced), and one that is particularly interesting: it is more comfortable than a 328 and it benefits from the same six-cylinder hemispherical cylinder head, which presents a technical distribution admired by enthusiasts. Powerful and enduring, it has helped build the brand's reputation and will present its future buyer a rare, refined and efficient car.

The Triumph TR3 is the archetype of the British roadster sensation: two seats at ground level, two prominent headlights and a sound engine singular.
This good copy is from February 1959, its current owner having acquired it in 2016 in Holland. This previous owner subjected the car to serious and consistent restoration work: the body, painted in a green of the most beautiful effect, has perfectly aligned panels and the cabin is covered with leathers and carpets matching the outside colour, but in a slightly lighter tone.
The car is in good condition and comes at no reserve.
Whether you’re looking to buy, or simply a car enthusiast and admirer, this Artcurial sale promises something for all lovers of automobiles.
