Dawson Auctioneers' upcoming auction on 28 October is dedicated to Fine Art and & Antiquities. The highly anticipated sale on the 28 October includes a wide range of works and objects from the Renaissance to present day. The catalogue includes notable names like Leica Cameras and Albert Ludovici.

One of the most noteworthy pieces of the sale is Two Ladies at A Piano by Albert Ludovici. Best known for his delicate impressionistic style, Ludovici spent most of his career living in London and Paris. He exhibited extensively throughout his life, including at Suffolk Street, the Royal Academy and Grosvenor Galleries. This piece celebrates a small, intimate moment between two attractive young women as they sit at a piano. The warm tones and soft brushstroke evoke a sense of softness that is bound to be a firm favourite among collectors.

Another unique piece is a late Baroque limewood figure of a saint. The small statue was delicately carved, with great technical skill and attention. The carving is full of motion and energy, with the female figure leaning back, arm clutching her breast and mouth slightly parted. She is caught up in a wave of dynamism, as her robes and skirts surround her. The original polychrome decoration has survived and makes for a real visual treat. This piece would serve as a beautiful addition to any collection.

Fine Art isn’t all Dawsons Auctioneers have available, with an incredible selection of memorabilia and decorative arts up for auction as well. One of the more unique lots is a camera from the internationally esteemed brand Leica. Leica Camera was established over a century ago, in 1913, and ever sense has been producing some of the most desirable cameras and photographic equipment on the market. This camera, complete with its lens cap and original brown leather case, is a wonderful set for any photographer.

One of the most exciting lots is a promotional poster relating to world famous rock band The Rolling Stones. The poster dates from the early 1960s, just as Mick Jagger and the band were starting to make waves in the music industry. Executed with attractive colours and energetic shapes, the poster combines highly evocative symbols with a playful text. The poster is sure to be of great appeal to rock memorabilia collectors and Rolling Stones fans alike.

Another spectacular piece up for auction is a nineteenth-century mantel clock. Made of luxury materials including white marble, ivory and ormolu, the beautiful clock features delicate details and an elegant female figure. She holds a pair of pipes and a serpent. A true centrepiece, this fine object was made by Paris-based Maple Co.

Another highly sought-after lot is the Art Nouveau circular walnut centre table made in the manner of celebrated designer Emile Galle. One of the most famous names from the Art Nouveau, Galle's furniture is known for its curving lines and soft, sweeping movement – all visible in this excellent example. This delicately-carved piece has four sensuous, curving legs with a round top. The flowers carefully carved on either side of each leg are typical features of the Art Nouveau movement, as nature was considered the best and most beautiful source of inspiration.
