Austin Auction Gallery's two-day Magnificent Estates auction on 18 and 19 January features over 1,000 fine French antiques, English antiques, garden statuary, Italian antiques, carved grandfathers clocks, large bronze candelabras, Meissen porcelain, fine art, lighting and much more.
Here are the highlights:

The top lot is a pair of Henry Dasson ormulu-mounted boulle work cabinets in the Napoleon III style. Henry Dasson was a famed furniture designer in 19th-century Paris, specifically working in gilt bronze. His work was shown at the Paris Expositions in the late 19th century and were often purchased by European nobility. The pair is estimated at US$30,000-50,000 (£23,100-38,500).

Another beautiful gilt bronze lot is this duo of spectacular French patinated and gilt bronze torchieres. Each 7.5-foot-tall torchiere holds nine lights in two tiers on scrolling foliate arms, supported by three putti caryatids on a base raised on scroll feet. The pair is expected to fetch between $15,000-$20,000 (£11,500-15,400).

For those looking for another monumental, piece, this Italian Renaissance Revival mahogany tall case clock, likely from Philadelphia circa 1900, has an arched hood topped with a winged putti. The castle and ship painted moon dial with Arabic numerals is inside a central case with an astragal-faced glazed door flanked by figural pilasters. The clock rises on six paw feet to about 8.5 feet high. It's estimated between $15,000-25,000 (£11,500-19,300).

This large carved white marble statue, signed at base F. Vichi (Ferdinando Vicchi, Italy, France, 1875-1945), depicts a maiden with long braids, wearing a Renaissance-style dress with puff sleeves, ruffles at the collar and cuffs, plucking petals from a bouquet of flowers in her hand. Vicchi was a well-respected Italian sculptor during the first half of the 20th century and exhibited worldwide, including the Paris Salon, where his patrons included European royalty. It is offered for $6,000-8,000 (£4,600-6200).

This American leaded and stained glass hanging light, signed Duffner and Kimberly Company, New York is from the early 20th century in the Grape Trellis pattern. Duffner and Kimberley were a stained glass lighting company founded in 1905 and were of the same quality as Tiffany. However, the company was short-lived and only operated until 1911. This hanging glass light is estimated at $8,000-12,000 (£6,200-9,300).

This Charles Carmel-designed outside row jumper carousel horse dates to circa 1915-20. The fine horse boasts a rare carved pea pod that hangs from the cantle, a peek-a-boo swirling mane, intricately carved trappings, tucked head and natural horse hair tail, and the body has early or original paint. The horse was restored prior to 1997 and stands about 5 feet tall. Estimated at $4,000-8,000 (£3,100-6,200).
